Editorial Guidelines

ToolCompared maintains strict editorial independence. Our guidelines define how we create, review, and update content to ensure it remains accurate, unbiased, and useful.

Independence

No vendor can pay to improve their score, ranking, or review content. Affiliate relationships, advertising, and sponsorships are completely separate from our editorial process. Reviewers are not informed about commercial relationships with vendors when writing reviews.

Accuracy

We verify pricing, features, and claims before publishing. When vendors dispute factual claims, we investigate and correct errors promptly. All corrections are noted with a date and description of what changed.

Transparency

We disclose affiliate relationships on every page that contains affiliate links. We disclose when we receive free access or demos from vendors (though this does not influence scores). We publish our scoring methodology publicly.

Corrections Policy

If you believe a review contains an error, contact editorial@toolcompared.com. We will investigate within 5 business days and publish a correction if warranted.

Vendor Relations

Vendors are welcome to submit their tools for review, provide demo access, and correct factual inaccuracies. They may not request score changes, ask to preview reviews before publication, or condition access on favorable coverage.
